bush says this is not the time for punitive measures? really? this from a guy who loved seeing people get executed in texas, who said while he was campaigning for gov of texas that 14 year olds should be tried as adults for crimes. george w. liked mandatory minimum sentences for people convicted of crimes. in short the guy is all about punitive measures, and then he says this. what an embarrassment.
