They're not laughing *at* him, they're laughing at his illustrations and jokes.(Perhaps you just didn't get the jokes?)Like the "Think of it like the physical layer of the OSI 7 layer model" line...if you're not a networking and protocol stack geek you won't get that, but I found it funny as heck!

NLP is fun and can, I think, work, but there's a danger that it can become dogmatic rote behaviour, rather than a fluid set of guidelines. I've read about people following an interviewer's every move, and just freaking the guy out, for instance.I think mostly its stuff to take on board and adapt to the people and situations you meet, rather than actually doing, word for word, the stuff reccomended in the video.

they're laughing because he's funny. in order to properly sync, you'll have to have a sense of humor, too.

It's not a joke. He just wanted to make the presentation funny as well as enlightening.

I don't think they are laughing at him. Maybe the slides. Don't know if alcohol is involved there too. Anyway, these techniques do work. It's legit. Psych 101 stuff.

Why the hell are they laughing at him when he's just trying to help? So damn disrespectful of them.
