There are good brokers and there are bad brokers. The cold call is the best way to make as many contacts as possible. That phone call was illegal, but Bill must be on so many lists that he gets tons of calls. It's all about getting the potential investor to listen. Thats it. Unfortunately you have to do what you have to do to acquire them as client. Never take no for an answer and do what you can to make your clients money. All it takes is 1 guy to change your life!!!!!

for you guys who dreamed about being a stockbroker this is reality trillions of dollars are being traded everyday the grass is definitely green. don't be a piker and listen to the bullshit these people have to say. although the market is not doing well some of the best opportunities come from the worst times. if you're going to let someone else point their finger in your face and tell you you can't do it you'll never make it anyways.

Thanks for the advice. I love the movie Boilerroom, I think its hilarious, especially the JP Marlin thing and the guys in the huge house with no decorations and all the furniture in one room, eating pizza.

Bill- I'm a financial advisor out in California. Cold calling is a great way to talk to new people and start up a financial conversation. What "Ed" did was dishonest and illegal. If you've seen the movie Boiler Room, you'd get a pretty good idea of where guys like this are coming from.A great tip for calls of this nature: ask if the call is a personal joke, then explain that you're a FINRA regulator. Then ask for the caller's name, firm, and credentials. They'll usually freak out. It's funny.

Yea, its a line that a lot of us brokers use alot, and it works 8/10 times. Im 22 years old...ive been a broker since ive been 18 getting guys like you to send me your last buck to me to invest.i charge 5% on the way in..sometimes 5% on the way out...clients like you Bill are guys who I'd click on myself sincethe convo would go nowhere and I'd make a lot more money calling the next guy. Dont think that by posting this video ur making a change in the world.we'll continue getting guys to send us $
