The entire train is too heavy for a single engine. Those older passenger cars are real heavyweights.

That beast sure has a sense of purpose in the way it looks. Even stood still it looks like it's just gotta pull.I once saw Concorde parked up and it looked like it was doing Mach 2 without even firing up. Great industrial design is sublime. US steam is the greatest!

The Steam engine is doing all the work. Everyone is a steam enthusiast, even the guys in the diesel locomotive. Plus if the steam locomotive is chugging, that means its working

What an opening vista. Then the sound of the stack as it picks up speed. I can just imagine how things probably were, when they were a familiar sight and sound.
