The entire train is too heavy for a single engine. Those older passenger cars are real heavyweights.

That beast sure has a sense of purpose in the way it looks. Even stood still it looks like it's just gotta pull.I once saw Concorde parked up and it looked like it was doing Mach 2 without even firing up. Great industrial design is sublime. US steam is the greatest!

The Steam engine is doing all the work. Everyone is a steam enthusiast, even the guys in the diesel locomotive. Plus if the steam locomotive is chugging, that means its working

What's the purpose of diesel loco? I think diesel is doing most of the job.

well thats smart Idea Skip. And besides 3985 is a very hard locomotive to maintain because of the parts it needs and stuff
